Focusrite Plug-in Collective members now have access to Baby Audio’s Parallel Aggressor for Mac and Windows, normally sold for $49 as a free download from now through March 17 (2022).
The plugin offers Parallel Processing that can play a fundamental role in getting a punchy mix sound. It works by duplicating the same track into multiple copies and processing each duplicate with different levels of intensity. By blending these duplicates together, users can add more power while still preserving a track’s natural dynamics.
Parallel Aggressor hosts three parallel buses internally: Dry is the original signal, Spank is heavily compressed duplicate, and Heat is a heavily saturated duplicate of the original audio signal. The three can be combined to get the desired effect.
The Plug-in Collective is a community hub designed to bring members, Focusrite, and software brands together. It regularly offers free software downloads and discounts on high-end plugins. To join, members register any Focusrite hardware product and then will receive a new offer every couple of months.
