TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has announced that it is introducing the Echomixer germanium preamp, distortion and spring reverb plugin at the upcoming 2024 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center at booth 14102.
Created by Audiopunks, the plugin is modeled after a modified version of the original 1960 Echomixer introduced by TELEFUNKEN that offered three channels and a Hammond IV spring reverb. Working with original vintage units, Audiopunks recreated these channels and the spring reverb in the new version while adding modern features such as daisy chaining and flexible spring tanks to expand utility in the digital realm.
Specifically, after servicing the units, Audiopunks modded the circuit to allow for the ability to daisy chain the three channels to offer a unique, organic distortion that can be dialed to taste. The developers also incorporated two other popular spring tanks modules to allow the user the use of this plugin in almost any recording situation.
The new plugin at an exclusive introductory price of $89 (originally $129). Telefunken followers receive an extra 10 percent off with the code 10OFF. Email Alan Venitosh [email protected] to make an appointment at the show.
