Electro-Voice announced at the 2024 NAMM Show that the one millionth ZLX Series portable loudspeaker recently rolled off the production line, making it the most successful in company’s almost 100-year history.
Designed to deliver professional audio performance at an accessible price point, the ZLX Series launched at the NAMM Show in 2013 and immediately made an impact in the industry, and this year the series made a triumphant return to the most recent iteration of the event in Anaheim.
EV dealers and show attendees visiting the company’s demo room were invited to meet the one-millionth ZLX in person, and the box is now covered in signatures from EV team members from around the world. They also signed Platinum display in recognition of their key role in the ZLX’s success. Representatives from the EV engineering and product development teams behind ZLX were present to celebrate as well.
Models from the broader EV portable sound portfolio – including ZLX – were showcased at 2024 NAMM, including the EVERSE 12 battery-powered loudspeaker that launched at the show. The company also noted that more significant product introductions will be forthcoming soon.
Finally, members of Bosch’s executive board of management traveled to the ZLX production facility to witness the one-millionth loudspeaker being made, adding their signatures to five ZLX boxes along with the production team (pictured below). These five ZLXs are now traveling to Electro-Voice sites around the world, gathering additional signatures from the various teams behind the product’s journey.
