The Imperial Ball 2020 Charity Concert was once again held during the weekend of the recent NAMM show in Anaheim, with VUE Audiotechnik co-sponsoring the event by providing sound reinforcement through rental partners who delivered VUE al-Class line arrays and h-Class for monitors and side fills.

The concert benefits The Sweet Stuff Foundation that was founded in 2013 to provide assistance to career musicians and families struggling with illness and disability. Past Imperial Ball performers have included Steven Tyler, Joe Walsh, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and more.

For the Imperial Ball 2020, VUE turned to CBC Technical to provide its al-Class line array for the show. VUE provided the remaining gear and brought back former VUE employee, Jeff Talor, to oversee the stage on behalf of VUE.

Primary sponsors Duesenberg Guitars and Sennheiser assembled three bands for this year’s ball. Grammy-nominated BONES UK with guest Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal, Led Zeppelin all-star tribute group Watt Zeppelin featuring Andrew Watt, Chad Smith (RHCP) and Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), plus Queens of the Stone Age with special guest Johnny Depp. VUE al-8s were ground stacked for FOH and as front fills along with h-Class for stage monitors, side-fills and drum monitoring.

With a packed house, merch sales and auctions taking place during the event, a hefty amount was raised to benefit the Sweet Stuff Foundation. VUE looks forward to participating next year with yet another all-star lineup.
