Beyma has introduced three new cone drivers (10-, 12- and 15-inch), all equipped with optimized ferrite motor structures and the company’s patented Maltcross cooling technology, intended to meet the needs of demanding applications.
The new 10MCB700, 12MCB700 and 15MCB700 woofers are designed to deliver high-efficiency bass and mid/bass performance for loudspeaker systems where high sensitivity, high linearity, low distortion and high total SPL are required. All three models have a 3-inch (77 mm) voice coil, sensitivity stated as 96 and 99 dB, nominal power of 700 watts AES and weight ranging between 7.6 and 8 kg.
Specifically, Maltcross technology is designed to provide very efficient cooling of the voice coil, reducing the losses from power compression and resulting in a more constant SPL. The goal is performance similar to models with larger motors and coils.
