Tokyo’s Studio Tanta Equipped With API Legacy AXS Console

New seven-story high studio in the Shibuya area adds 48 channel fully-fitted Legacy AXS console to Studio A with a 32 channel 1608 for Studio B.

Studio Tanta, a brand new studio in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, has recently installed a 48 channel fully-fitted API Legacy AXS console, in addition to a 32 channel automated 1608.The sale of the two consoles was completed through API’s exclusive Japanese Distributor Mix Wave, headed by Hiro Saika.

One of the first large-scale studios to be constructed in Tokyo for many years, Studio Tanta is a seven-story high facility that took over three years of planning. The studio was finally able to celebrate its grand opening last month with the reveal of the 48 channel AXS in Studio A, and the 32 channel 1608 in studio B.

“After visiting many studios in the USA, the API Legacy AXS became the absolute best choice to achieve our vision at Studio Tanta,” says Tanta’s managing director Tomoyuki Fukuda. “The AXS has a great sound quality – warm and punchy, but musical. It outshines everything. It also has excellent S/N and amazingly high head room. Our clients are very happy, and API has given us everything we required and more.”
