Audio Rents Inc.of Hollywood (CA) is the very first US customer to have taken delivery of JoeCo‘s new BlackBox BBR1MP Recorder.
Two systems were delivered to the Hollywood-based pro audio rental company earlier this week and went out the very next day to provide a 48-channel recording system with integrated microphone preamps for live recording at Hollywood’s iconic Whisky A Go-Go club.
JoeCo’s BBR1MP Recorder is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s award-winning BlackBox family of recorders and players. The 24-channel, stand-alone, live audio recorder delivers all the standard BlackBox functionality, while featuring 24 high-quality in-house developed microphone preamps, operating at up to 24bit/96kHz, which are integrated into the recorder’s tiny 1U housing.
Designed for both live and location sound recording, the BBR1MP offers a range of connection options, as well as optional user installable MADI and Dante interface cards, which can add 24 channels of MADI or Dante i/o to the unit. Fully controllable via JoeCoRemote for iPad, the new system includes the facility to set up individual mic pre channel parameters and create a monitor mix. It can also create a simultaneous stereo mixdown during recording.

We took delivery of our first two units on Tuesday afternoon, the first two in the country. “
