TC Electronic Announces System 6000 MKII & Upgrade Path At AES

TC's reverb and signal processor has been upgraded with new features in System 6000 MKII.

At AES 2010 TC Electronic showcased the new System 6000 MKII, the successor to the original System 6000 which launched in 2000.

System 6000 MKII with ICON control includes all previously available algorithms, the highest available resolution, the lowest jitter, and entirely new features and tools to the creative process.

New System 6000 MKII
• New network and wi-fi savvy platform.
• Includes all algorithms from original System 6000.
• Reads presets from original System 6000.
• ITU BS.1770, ATSC A/85 and EBU R128 compliant metering.
• New Matrix 88 mixer for ultimate precision summing.
• Opens the door for new and even more powerful algorithms.
• Stronger chassis with a new stylish look.

New Icon MKII
• Faster response of touch screen and faders.
• More connectivity: Dual Ethernet and dual USB.
• Controls System 6000 and System 6000 MKII
• Controls Reverb 4000
• Controls DB2, DB4 and DB8
• New stylish look.

The System 6000 MKII will be available through our professional TC distribution channels. As well, owners of System 6000 now have the opportunity to upgrade their machine to full System 6000 MKII specifications.

Under the upgrade program, an original unit is remodeled and turned into a full featured System 6000 MKII. The MKII may be controlled from TC Icon, TC Icon MKII, a Mac or a PC.

Owners of System 6000 can take advantage of this upgrade program which involves chassis, board and component replacements.

In addition, the upgrade includes installation of new software, transfer of previously acquired licenses, and an update in functionality beyond the latest version 5. Unfortunately version 5 will be the end of the development cycle for the original frame.

To keep turn-around time short, upgrades can be pre-booked and performed at any TC Electronic authorized service center around the world.
