Solid State Logic has announced the new SSL X-Delay plugin that’s inspired by iconic hardware delay units from the 1980s and available now in several formats that include VST2, VST3, AAX and AU at a cost of $199 or as part of the SSL Complete Bundle Subscription from $14.99 per/m (Ts&Cs apply). SSL is also offering a special 35 percent discount until February 28, 2022.
X-Delay is designed to facilitate various combinations of sounds achievable from up to four independently sync-able taps, ranging from saturated slapback vocal delays to vast stereo soundscapes appropriate for synth pads. The new plugin is augmented by global FX such as built-in modulation, SSL’s analogue saturation, as well as a reverb offering multiple diffusion effects and rooms from a single control.
Overview of new X-Delay:
–Four configurable delay taps, including independent level, ping-pong and panning controls.
— Combine SSL-style saturation, modulation, reverb and de-essing to shape a wide range of different delay sounds.
