At the upcoming ISE 2020 show in Amsterdam, RCF (booth 7-R200) is introducing the new BUSINESS MUSIC line of commercial audio products for both foreground and background applications.
The two digital mixers/amplifiers in the new line are compact in size (1/2-rack unit width and 1-rack unit height) for both desktop and rack installation (with the dedicated optional accessory). They incorporate IP 30 grade protection and efficient thermal dissipation., represents a crossover point between professional and consumer markets.
The DMA 82 is stated to deliver 2 x 80 watts while the DMA 162 checks in at 2 x 160 watts, combined with a matrix/DSP platform with recallable loudspeaker presets. These are factory-created and available on the company website so that the user only has to set parameters for the environment rather than the connected loudspeakers.
Configuration is done via the front panel with a dedicated user interface and OLED display or RCF RDNet software using the optional board. It’s also possible to control some of the features of the device from third-party systems via a serial protocol to integrate with other systems. And, both DMA units can distribute four audio channels to satellite DPA units for added scalability.
Each unit can receive two mono or a single stereo channel from the 4-channel audio bus, with a local stereo input as an alternative. There’s also a line output for a subwoofer.
In addition, the RC 401 remote control and BM 404 paging console can be used in conjunction with the DMA units. The RC 401 offers basic volume control and source select while the BM 404 is designed to manage up to four zones, with up to four paging consoles connected in a daisy-chain fashion, interlocked.
Meanwhile, loudspeakers in the new line include the MF 33EN, a ceiling loudspeaker designed for recess installation in false ceilings or panels, providing 100- x 160-degree dispersion. For horizontal and vertical wall-mount installation, the new WMF 33EN loudspeaker is available, designed for intelligible voice reproduction for voice-alarm and evacuation messages. It comes in a self-extinguishing EN54-24 certified enclosure.
Two monitor models in the line include the MR 40T and MR 50T, both 2-way bass reflex loudspeakers. They’re sold in pairs (in either white or black), with special brackets designed for wall mounting, either individually or up to clusters of four.
Finally, the COMPACT M series offers five passive loudspeaker models with woofer sizez ranging from 5 to 12 inches. They’re designed to provide quality acoustic performance in both background and foreground music working alone or accompanied by the 10-inch SUB S 10 and 12-inch SUB S 12 subwoofers.
Also at ISE, RCF will be highlighting RDNet-compatible VSA II vertical steerable array models, intended to provide improved performance in highly reverberant spaces with the option of also being available in black.
