EM Acoustics is previewing the R10, the flagship model of the new Reference Series of low-profile point-source loudspeakers, at the ISE 2020 show in Amsterdam (booth 7-X250).
The R10 is a 3-way passive design incorporating dual 10-inch cone drivers and a 4-inch/2.5-inch mid-hi coaxial unit. Housed in an optimally tuned enclosure that draws on the company’s HALO Series, the R10 is supplied with two different, interchangeable dispersion waveguide options: a wider 110- x 50-degree guide for shorter throw applications and a narrower 80- x 50-degree guide for controlled coverage over longer distances. Both are rotatable for added versatility and are stated offer extensive pattern control to below 800 Hz.
Optimal performance is attained when driver the R10 with the company’s DQ Series amplifiers. FIR processing for each component is designed to further enhance sonic performance. Cabinets are designed for durability in portable applications and have a weather-protected polyurethane finish. Rigging options are provided.
