PROCESS.AUDIO Releases New Spicerack Saturation & Distortion Plugin

Employs linear phase technology in providing five "flavors" of harmonic distortion to saturate, distort, shape and texturize sounds.

PROCESS.AUDIO, a software division of PureMix.net, has announced the release of Spicerack, a new audio saturation and distortion plugin with five “flavors” of harmonic distortion to saturate, distort, shape and texturize sounds.

The company states that the five algorithms have been carefully developed and tuned to provide a wide color palette. It uses linear phase technology developed for Sugar, PROCESS.AUDIO’s first plugin, for enhanced blending of wet and dry signals.

Spicerack’s interface was designed to dial-in the right amount of saturation as fast as possible. The proprietary Auto Gain Compensation and Calibration features are designed to make for a smooth Drive knob ranging from subtle saturation to aggressive distortion with no level jumps.

Other features include Console Remote, a protocol allowing inter-plugin communication and remote control, and a creative Gate circuit that designed to morph Spicerack’s distortion effects to precise
sound design tools.

Spicerack is available now for Mac and Windows computers for $149 from the PROCESS.AUDIO website, and a free 30-day trial version is available for download. Go here for more specifics.
