NEXO Introduces Two New NXAMP MK2 Amplifiers

Both 2RU packages offer front panel touch screen control providing navigation as well as direct access to all essential parameters

The new NXAMP4x2 MK2 and NXAMP4x1 MK2 amplifier models are the result of close collaboration between R&D engineers from NEXO and parent company Yamaha.

Both models are housed in 2RU packages with front panel touch screen control providing navigation as well as direct access to all essential parameters, including array EQ, mute and meters, EQ detail, user EQ, inputs, load monitoring, log, scene, setup, and system headroom, along with volume, gain and delays.

A native dual Ethernet port offers integration with NEXO proprietary NeMo system management software. Amplifiers can be remote-controlled and daisy-chained via a standard Remote Control card with optional Dante, EtherSound and AES/EBU network cards available.

Four high-end analog inputs use cascaded converters for low output noise, and four digital inputs are available through the rear panel expansion card slot offering optional AES/EBU, EtherSound, Dante and AES67 inputs, all with automatic analog fall-back. In addition to the expansion card slot, other rear panel connectivity includes RS232 serial and GPIO ports along with Speakon outputs for each of the four channels.

Available in 4 x 1300-watt and 4 x 2500-watt (both at 2 ohms) and weighing 35 and 36.5 pounds, respectively, the class D amplifiers combine 32-bit/96KHz converters and 64-bit signal processing to deliver advances in sound quality over the original NXAMPs. They have a universal power supply (100 – 240 volts) using PFC (Power Factor Correction) technology to enhance efficiency and foster smooth current draw.

The NXAMP4x2 MK2 is a companion for the NEXO GEO Series of compact line array systems and PS Series cabinets, while the NXAMP4x1 MK2 replaces the NXAMP4x1 model, which NEXO will continue to support as a legacy product.

The new amplifiers are currently available.
