IOSONO Announces Spatial Audio Workstation 2 Featuring Upmix! At Musikmesse 2011

The new Upmix! allows users to convert to any surround format.

IOSONO has announced the release of their Spatial Audio Workstation 2.0 including the new Upmix! technology to the professional audience at ProLight & Sound 2011.

IOSONO’s all-new Spatial Audio Workstation provides an innovative concept of dealing with a spatial audio mix.

In the single display of the Spatial Audio Workstation, all tracks or events occur as sound objects providing unprecedented convenience for the positioning and movement of audio.

The new powerful Upmix! allows users to convert to any surround format effortlessly.

It recovers natural and realistic surround sound from any stereo material, which can be fine tuned with unique adjustment features.

The audience of the ProLight + Sound was enthusiastic:

“The new technologies even allows to make changes to existing recordings retrospectively”, said Tom ardent, acoustic engineering student and visitor of the IOSONO booth.

Indeed, with IOSONO’s object-based mixing concept the Spatial Audio Workstation works completely independent from the speaker setup, so projects can be edited, monitored and exported to any current and future multichannel format.

“This is a landmark release for IOSONO`s Spatial Audio Workstation, introducing extremely valuable new functio-nality to what is probably the top Upmix! tool for 3D audio production,” comments Olaf Stepputat, the CEO of IOSONO.

The Spatial Audio Workstation 2.0 will be available in the IOSONO online shop starting April 26th. The standard version will be available for purchase for 480€, the education version for 240€.
