Yorkville Sound Introduces New EXM Mobile Tower Battery-Powered PA

Comprised of a 10-inch subwoofer base and four 3-inch mid-range drivers, including a dedicated high-frequency driver, with the transducers driven by an onboard amplifier stated to provide in excess of 550 watts.

Yorkville Sound has announced the introduction of the EXM Mobile Tower, a new portable, battery-powered PA that’s comprised of a 10-inch subwoofer base and four 3-inch mid-range drivers, including a dedicated high-frequency driver, with the transducers driven by an onboard amplifier stated to provide in excess of 550 watts.

“The high-frequency driver is an anomaly among today’s battery-powered tower P.A’s,” says Jeff Cowling, Yorkville Sound’s vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We included it in the design for the best sound quality possible, more output, and greater power handling capabilities.”

Also onboard is a three-channel mixer and with Live and Club preset performance modes. Stated battery life is 10 hours at high performance levels.

For events that require more output, the EXM Mobile Tower can pair with an additional EXM Mobile Tower via Bluetooth. “It’s one thing to offer wireless connectivity between two systems,” says Cowling, “however, two EXM Mobile Towers will stream in true stereo and provide three more inputs for additional instruments.”
