Tracktion is offering its T5 multi-track recording/editing digital audio workstation (DAW) software completely free to the public.
The company has been providing its T4 FREE software for Mac, PC and LINUX operating systems for free over the past year.
The release of T5 FREE adds several new features and provides in-app access to the MARKETPLACE retail portal, which allows users to search, purchase and download plugins as well as virtual instruments to add creative assets at any time.
In addition to T5 FREE, Tracktion’s T6 DAW software is now available free of charge with select Behringer and Mackie brand digital hardware purchases. T6 brings a more extensive feature list than T5 FREE and allows an upgrade path to Tracktion’s latest, most powerful recording software, T7 DAW.
Upon its initial release in 2014, T5 sold for $60.
