QSC Expands E Series Lineup With Two New Models

New E218SW dual 18-inch subwoofer and E215 dual 15-inch full-range cabinet now bring the model count of the Series to six.

QSC announces the addition of two new models to the company’s E Series loudspeaker line, first introduced one year ago at NAMM 2016.

The E218SW dual 18-inch subwoofer and E215 dual 15-inch full-range cabinet now bring the model count of the Series to six.

The E218SW subwoofer features two 18-inch die-cast frame woofers with 4-inch voice coils. Power handling of the subwoofer is 1800-watts continuous (6400-watts peak), delivering 132 dB max SPL and LF extension down to 32 Hz @ -10 dB. Ground stacking is made easy due to the cabinet’s conveniently located handles and captive-skid system.

The E215 full-range loudspeaker features dual 15-inch LF drivers (3.5-inch voice coil) and utilizes a frequency-shading topology, minimizing vertical lobing through the HF crossover transition. A large format 1.4-inch (2.8-inch voice coil) device provides high frequency reproduction. Offering 1200-watts continuous (4800-watts peak) power handling, QSC’s Directivity Matched Transition (DMT) for uniform frequency response across the entire 75-degree coverage area, and enhanced LF extension (down to 40 Hz), the E215 for customers seeking enhanced output and LF extension from a single passive box solution.

Both cabinets offer rugged plywood construction with black, texture-coated paint and comfortably-contoured metal handles. An optional eyebolt kit for the E215 will be available, while an optional caster kit for the E218SW will also be available.

Factory loudspeaker tunings found in QSC DSP-equipped PLD or GXD Series amplifiers or TouchMix Series digital mixers further optimize E Series performance.

The E218SW will have an estimated US street price of $1,199 while the E215 estimated US street price is expected to be $999. Both models will ship in the Spring of 2017.
