A new sound reinforcement system at the historic Marchionneschi Theatre in Pisa, Italy, designed to revive the venue and encourage audiences to return for live performances following the pandemic, is headed by K-array loudspeakers and stage monitors.
K-array states that it supports the undertaking based on its goal of setting a new audio performance standard in the venue. Specifically, the new system effort was led by noted Italian musician Antonio Aiazzi and is part of a wider project aimed at transforming the space into a hub for musicians.
“When I leave a concert where I have heard good music and experienced it fully, I can’t wait to return for another performance,” explains Aiazzi. “That’s how you create and maintain an audience.”
The new system incorporates K-array Pinnacle-KR802 portable, powered column loudspeakers and subwoofers, while the stage is outfitted with Mastiff stage monitors. They support a variety of performances as well as an Arte Residente project of artist recording sessions.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Arte Residente project,” concludes Alessandro Tatini, CEO and president at K-array. “Arte Residente is a project that not only empowers musicians and creatives but also brings benefits to the local community here in Tuscany through the revival of their local cultural hub.”
