Hockeyclub Upgrades With RCF

HC Den Bosch field hockey club in the Netherlands steps up to new weatherproof IP55-rated P 3115-T loudspeakers.

In the Netherlands, the field hockey club which is also known as HC Den Bosch, recently underwent a complete new sound system installation, turning to RCF’s weatherproof IP55-rated P-series for indoor installations in tough environments, as well as outdoor applications such as stadiums and arenas.

With three sides of the field open, all 20 of the P 3115-T, run 100V line, are distributed evenly along the roof of the single tribune, which also includes a central cluster.

The full range, wide-dispersion, coaxial two-way loudspeaker provides HF with a constant directivity CMD horn loaded to a 1-inch RCF Precision compression driver with a 1.5-inch diaphragm assembly. The LF transducer is a 15-inch woofer with 2.5-inch voice coil and the selectable line transformer makes is suitable for 70-100 volt applications.

Commenting on the installation, Henri van Bergen, of RCF Netherlands, states: “The most important consideration in stadiums like these is the Speech Transmission Index (STI), as well as fact the that the system must also sound great with music.

“The client realized, during the final stages of decision making, that the RCF P-series gave them the best of both worlds.”
