Dynacord has announced the introduction the V600:2, a new two-channel member of its V Series family of commercial power amplifiers that’s tailored for background music and announcements as well as for applications requiring higher SPL levels in small to mid-sized fixed installations.
With the new V600:2, integrators can now mix and match different V Series models to better meet their specific project requirements. With stated maximum power output of 600 watts, it offers the same features and technologies on board as the four-channel V600:4.
Proprietary powerTANK technology is designed to provide more flexible power allocation, acting as a power reservoir and making the V600:2 capable of delivering asymmetric power across all channels as needed. Patented VLD (Variable Load Drive) allows the amplifier channels to be driven at 4 ohms, 8 ohms, 70 volts or 100 volts without affecting output power.
Overall power consumption is reduced with ecoRAIL that’s designed to conserve energy and lower ownership costs. APD (Auto Power Down) further improves energy consumption by automatically powering down the amplifier when no audio signal is present.
dualCOOL helps ensure silent operation for applications in quiet environments, while a built-in multi-stage fan is activated under extreme thermal conditions. PFC (Power Factor Correction), together with a protection package, is designed to foster reliable performance, even under demanding conditions.
Measuring a single rack unit high and half a rack width wide, the V600:2 offers installation options wherever space is limited. The included brackets facilitate single or dual rack-mount options as well as installation wherever needed, such as under counters. Two amplifiers fit in a single rack unit when rack-mounted side by side, more efficiently using space and doubling the channel count and output power.
The new V600:2 power amplifier will be available in spring 2024.
