DAS Audio Debuts Latest Additions To ARA & EVENT Series At 2024 NAMM Show

Line-up includes the new ARA-P12.74 and ARA-P28.74 self-powered point source systems, ARA-210 stage monitor, EVENT-28A compact line array, and EVENT-118 A subwoofer; will also be featured at 2024 ISE Show in Barcelona.
The ARA-M210 stage monitor and EVENT-28A line array are two of the new DAS Audio products making their debut at the 2024 NAMM Show.

At the 2024 NAMM Show at the Anahaim Convertion Center in booth 17100, DAS Audio is introducing a range of new products that include the latest additions to its ARA and EVENT Series of loudspeakers. (Both will also be featured at the 2024 ISE Show in Barcelona the following week.)

The new ARA-P12.74 is a compact self-powered point source system with a 12-inch woofer, 3-inch VCD compression driver, 96 kHz FIR filters, and a stated 1200 watts of class D amplification. Meanwhile, the new ARA-P28.74 is also a point source system with dual 8-inch woofer, a 3-inch VCD compression driver, 96 kHz FIR processing and stated 1200 watts of power.

Both products also come with new accessories to mount them in a variety of scenarios and they have a rotatable horn to help optimize coverage. Rounding out the new products in the ARA Series is the ARA-M210, which is a dual 10-inch stage monitor, also with a stated 1200 watts on onboard audio power and 96 kHz FIR processing. It offers a 50-degree horizontal spread and an asymmetrical vertical dispersion of 40 degrees downward and 30 degrees upward to suit a variety of situations. All of these products work with ALMA, the control and monitoring software from DAS Audio.

Also making its debut at NAMM show is the next generation of DAS Audio’s EVENT Series line arrays. The EVENT-28A is a compact, lightweight line array with two 8-inch neodymium LF transducers and a single M-60 compression driver, both powered by class D amplification with SMPS. Additional aspects include dual voltage mains for global compatibility, 24-bit DSP and FIR processing, all housed in a polypropylene cabinet with a weight of 44 pounds.

The symmetric “V” shaped configuration of the cone transducers is designed to deliver consistent 100 degrees of horizontal coverage while the M-60 driver remains coupled to an advanced waveguide design, which controls the vertical dispersion and helps ensure more precise coupling between units in vertical arrays.

The EVENT-118A is a companion subwoofer with a single 18-inch front-loaded woofer and Class D amplification. Both EVENT boxes have compatible rigging hardware and system configuration via DAScontrol.

“We’re really thrilled to be showing so many great new products, and can’t wait to visit with our friends, colleagues, and customers at the NAMM show,” says Michael Palmer, DAS Audio North America VP of sales — pro audio. “As we say about our ARA series, ‘Epic Sound Starts Here.’ These new additions to the ARA family continue that tradition. And the evolution of our EVENT Series is equally exciting, bringing a new dimension to one of our most popular lineups. We’re looking forward to showcasing these new products, both at NAMM and a week later at ISE.”
