Bosch has announced the PRM-2P600, the latest addition to the amplifier line-up for fixed installations from Bosch Building Technologies, as well as the debut of Synsona, a new product family to serve background music and announcement applications.
The two-channel PRM-2P600 is stated to provide up to 600-watt output capacity in a compact format. It shares the features of its larger counterpart, the four-channel PRM-4P600.
Measuring 1U and half a rack width wide, the PRM-2P600 is designed as a convection-cooled power amplifier, operating silently. The included brackets facilitate single or dual rack-mounting, as well as unobtrusive installation in tighter spaces, such as under counters. When rack-mounted side by side, two amplifiers fit in a single rack unit.
Proprietary powerTANK technology is designed to provide automatic power allocation, acting as a power reservoir. With direct access to the total power of 600 watts, the PRM-2P600 can deliver asymmetric power across all channels as needed. Both amplifier channels to be driven at 4 ohms, 8 ohms, 70 volts or 100 volts without affecting the output power.
Overall power consumption can be reduced with ecoRAIL, and APD (Auto Power Down) further improves energy consumption by automatically powering down the amplifier when no audio signal is present. The dualCOOL technology is designed to ensure uninterrupted operation with a built-in multi-stage fan that is activated under extreme thermal conditions. PFC (Power Factor Correction) also helps maintain reliable performance, even under demanding conditions.
