AV distributor Blustream announced that it has introduced two new multi-input/output Dante conversion wall switches for “BYOD” (bring your own device) users in commercial spaces employing Dante networked audio.
The DA11ABL-WP is a multi-input/output wall plate that converts Bluetooth and analog audio within a digital Dante networked audio system, while the DA22XLR-WP converts analog audio with two input channels of balanced/unbalanced microphone audio with switchable 48-volt. phantom power and two output channels of balanced and unbalanced audio.
“Enabling analog and Bluetooth audio to be distributed within a Dante networked audio system elevates collaboration space opportunities for integrators and their clients,” said Martyn Shirley, Blustream’s general manager. “These two wall plates are the ideal BYOD interfaces to a Dante audio system, whether your audio source is wired or wireless.”
Both are plug-and-play devices powered using PoE or via 12-volt power supply, and they offer support for AES67 RTP audio transport. The magnetic faceplate design allows for both UK and EU backbox compatibility.
