AUDIOFOCUS has unveiled the new ARRoCC constant curvature loudspeaker series that’s comprised of the wide-coverage CC210W, narrow-coverage CC210N and the 118S compact subwoofer, and all will be highlighted at the upcoming 2024 ISE Show in Spain at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via in booth 7E530.
The CC210W and CC210N each house a pair of V-mounted 10-inch LF transducers with Tetracoil double voice coils designed to provide additional power and more precise control as well as improved impulse response and handling of transients. A 4-inch titanium diaphragm HF compression driver fosters a lower crosspoint to enhance dispersion and control down to lower frequencies. Both cabinets achieve a stated peak SPL of 135 dB and frequency response of 55Hz to 19kHz.
CC210W and CC210N offer 25 x 90 and 12.5 x 90-degree coverage, respectively, and can be deployed either vertically or horizontally according to the needs of the event. ARRoCC is the first system to incorporate the company’s 3D printed SEVERIN waveguide designed to offer rigid definition of coverage patterns. Directivity can be adjusted further due to a forthcoming adjustable horn plug option.
“With ARROCC we’re ready to challenge the market leading constant curvature arrays on power and performance,” says AUDIOFOCUS founder and CEO Ann Leroy. “Opting for a twin 10-inch layout over a single, larger transducer has given us higher SPL and more control, especially with the power and fidelity boost gained from Tetracoil technology. We also specified a much larger HF driver than comparable designs, giving us a definite edge on intelligibility and vocal clarity.”
The 118S compact subwoofer has been developed to complement the ARRoCC series and rigging system. It has a stated frequency range of 30 Hz to 100 Hz with peak SPL of 135 dB. ARRoCC loudspeakers are offered in self-powered and passive versions. Multiple self-powered cabinets can be managed remotely from any device via AUDIOFOCUS SCiO browser-based software.
“ARRoCC is a fantastic option for rental and events companies looking for a practical, modular toolkit that excels in scenarios ranging from a small civic reception to a full live band performance,” adds sales manager Håkan Sjöö. “ARRoCC also scales really well, so a PA company could start out with a couple of pole-mounted CC210W speakers and keep investing in cabinets and subs as they win more ambitious projects.”
ARRoCC is supported by a system of accessories, allowing it to be stacked or flown in numerous configurations to fit the application. Optional brackets enable pole, wall, and ceiling mounting. The CC210W and CC210N loudspeakers can also be combined in multiple ways to achieve the desired coverage pattern.
