American Audio introduces of the ELS15A, a lightweight 15-inch active speaker that has everything needed to establish a serious party groove using virtually any music player or audio source.

The versatile ELS15A features both XLR and RCA line inputs, so you can easily plug in controllers, DJ mixers, laptops and mobile devices like iPods.
It also has XLR and TRS mic inputs to accommodate singers, emcees and even the guy who wants to give a speech or make a toast. The input controls (treble, bass and volume) are located right on the rear of the unit, so DJs don’t require a separate mixer to set their levels and EQs just right.
At the heart of the ELS15A is a high power class A/B bi-amplified system designed to perform at maximum efficiency. There are separate high-frequency and low-frequency amplifiers — one amp powering the titanium driver and the other powering the 15-inch woofer — which provide sufficient juice to the speaker as the music demands it.

A built-in protection system keeps the ELS15A from short-circuiting or overheating, and its active low/high-frequency signal limiter guarantees that DJs will never have to worry about overloading the speaker.
