Adamson Systems Engineering has announced two new additions to its IS-Series installation family, including the IS5c compact coaxial loudspeaker and IS213 compact subwoofer.
The two-way IS5c, designed to handle smaller applications as mains or to serve as a fill cabinet with larger systems, has a 1.4-inch dome compression driver coaxially combined with a 5-inch cone woofer and a stated 100-degree conical dispersion pattern. A plate and screw rigging system is placed on top and bottom of the enclosure, with available accessories allowing the enclosure to be deployed in a variety of applications.
The IS213 subwoofer, designed to be used in groundstack configurations and in particular to fit in compact spaces, is front-loaded with two lightweight 13-inch ND13-S Kevlar neodymium drivers utilizing Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture. It ships with removable handles as well as rubber scuff guards on top and bottom that mate with additional IS213s for vertical stacking.
Both new models are housed in enclosures made of marine grade birch plywood as well as aircraft grade aluminum and steel, and they’re both equipped with barrier strip connectors as well as Speakon NL4 connectors (two sets of dual NL4s are provided on the IS213). They can also be ordered fully weatherized.
