Acon Digital Releases AudioLava 2 Audio Cleaning Tool For Mac & PC

Interface helps in bringing old recordings "back to life," guiding users through steps from recording, file import and track splitting to restoration and CD burning.

Acon Digital has released version 2 of AudioLava, an audio cleaning tool that now runs on both Macintosh and Windows PC, and it comes with a modern dark theme that appears sharper on retina style displays.

The interface helps in bringing old recordings “back to life,” guiding users through steps from recording, file import and track splitting to restoration and CD burning.

AudioLava 2 is stated as capable of removing noise such as tape hiss, hum or clicks and crackle on LP records as well as improving clipped audio. The algorithms are based on the company’s audio restoration technology but offers a simplified user interface designed to make the restoration process easier.

AudioLava automatically splits recordings into separate tracks that can also be edited manually. A set of integrated tools are included, ranging from dynamic processors and equalizer to highly realistic reverb.

Plugins in the VST, VST3 and AU (Mac only) formats are supported. Real-time processing is intended to simplify fine tuning of the parameter settings. Restored recordings can be burned as audio CDs or saved to audio files on the computer in a variety of formats, including WAV, MP4, MP3, Ogg and FLAC.

AudioLava 2 is available for purchase on the Acon Digital web site for $29 USD, and AudioLava 1.x customers who purchased after January 1, 2018 are entitled to a free upgrade. Other AudioLava 1.x customers can upgrade for $14.90 USD.
