VUE Audiotechnik Expands e-Class Architectural Series

Integrator-optimized series to be presented at NAMM in immersive 5.1 environment with e-352 and e-351 Nano loudspeakers and es-269 subwoofer.

VUE Audiotechnik will showcase the integrator-optimized e-Class in an immersive 5.1 environment in the VUE booth (NAMM 2019, ACC North #18105).

Models presented include the e-352 and e-351 Nano loudspeakers, the new-for-NAMM es-269 subwoofer, with patent-pending ACM technology, and the VUEDrive V242 Systems Engine.

“While 4k has driven stunning improvements in video quality, the installed sound category has sacrificed sonic performance for functionality for decades,” explains Ken Berger, VUE founder and CEO. “The e-Class moves beyond outdated assumptions about size, aesthetics, and performance to deliver audiophile-quality sound at professional sound pressure levels from architect-pleasing-compact enclosures. It is truly the ‘uber-performing architectural loudspeaker.’”

The new VUEDrive V242 Systems Engine adds Dante networking and sophisticated DSP along with two inputs and four 500-watt, high-efficiency amplifier outputs/zones. On-board, factory-configured DSP presets are provided specifically for all models and application alignments of e-Class systems. The V242 features full network remote control via SystemVUE software on iOS, Mac OS, and Windows along with analog, AES digital and Dante network audio inputs.

The new es-269 subwoofer combines two, precision-engineered 6×9 transducers, VUEDrive electronics, and VUE’s Active Compliance Management (ACM) technology. Originally developed for VUE’s flagship hs-Class touring subwoofers, ACM allows for extended response by combining both band-pass and vented alignments into a single enclosure. The use of ACM technology allows the es-269 to deliver reference-quality flat low-end response down to 40 Hz, as much or more output as much larger dual-8 or 10-inch systems. The es-269 packs all this performance into a 9 x 23 x 17.75-inch birch cabinet with integrated M10 attachment points and optional wall/ceiling mounting bracket.

“While designing the e-Class, we avoided comparisons to existing installed speakers, and instead focused on the modern challenges that integrators face,” says Berger. “It’s clear that gussied up hi-fi systems no longer cut it now that 4k is the norm, and quality content is served up/streamed in every type of environment.”

Berger continues, “With these e-Class additions, we’re happy to complete the first phase in our plan to provide system integrators with next-generation tools that free them from having to choose between output, size, and fidelity. And this is just the beginning… the e-Class roadmap includes a continuous string of disruptive products over the next few years that will set an entirely new industry standard.”
