SSL To Debut New Hardware & Software And Showcase Consoles, Controllers And Plugins At AES NY 2023

Forthcoming hardware is designed to bring a new range of sonic possibilities and workflows to recording engineers; company will also be sharing booth space with the recently acquired Harrison brand.

Solid State Logic announced that it will be debuting new hardware and software at the upcoming Audio Engineering Society (AES) convention at the Javitz Center in New York City [at booth 824] starting on October 25, and the company will also be sharing the exhibition floor with audio brand Harrison, which SSL acquired in April of 2023.

The company states that the forthcoming hardware is designed to bring a new range of sonic possibilities and workflows to recording engineers. Meanwhile, there will also be the introduction of the new Tempest Control App designed to provide virtualized control for live-to-air broadcast audio in delivering full control of all mix, routing, monitoring, setup and automation functions, including the entire suite immersive production tools.

Also at the convention, SSL will be showcasing its latest hybrid production tools, including the UF1 and UC1 controllers, as well as the FUSION processor and THE BUS+ compressor. In addition, ORIGIN 16, which launched at AES last year, will be available for demonstration with a UF8 controller integrated into the console’s center section.

The booth will also include System T that combines 9.1.6 monitoring, digital audio handling and advanced production workflows, including Dolby Atmos, with SSL production tools optimized for immersive music. The large-format, modular S500 console will be available for demonstration as well.

“We look forward to welcoming our customers, partners and friends to AES NY,” says Nigel Beaumont, managing director, Solid State Logic. “As usual, we have many exciting product announcements planned, and this year we are particularly excited to be sharing the exhibition floor with our Nashville-based neighbors, Harrison.”
