When Robert Marsh, president of New York-based retailer I DJ NOW, got a rush request from the design producer of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” for a quality handheld wireless system for the show’s Long Island home renovation, Marsh knew right away that the answer was Shure.
He recommended a Shure PG24/PG58 Wireless Handheld System for the karaoke stage to be installed in the family’s home.
“I explained to the producer how our sales staff consistently receive positive responses from our customers about the Shure system,” says Marsh.

The custom-designed karaoke room was part of a complete renovation of the home of Kathleen Lutz and her six siblings, who all have Down syndrome.
The family’s home was badly in need of repairs, so the “Extreme Home Makeover: Home Edition” crew of more than 1,000 contractors, construction workers, and volunteers stepped in to demolish the house and replace it with a custom designed home in less than a week.
One of the highlights was the karaoke room, because the entire family loves music and enjoys performing together.
Marsh and his team from I DJ NOW provided lighting and sound equipment to the production and worked around the clock to successfully install the home karaoke studio in less than 24 hours.
