Shure & Audinate Announce Licensing Agreement On Dante Networking

Shure and Audinate have announced a licensing agreement for Dante digital audio networking technology that enables multiple channels of audio to be distributed to a variety of devices over a single Ethernet cable.

“Shure chose to work with Audinate because they deliver a robust, scalable, flexible networking solution that is easy to set up and configure,” states Christine Schyvinck, executive vice president of Global Marketing and Sales. “Dante networking will enable future Shure products to be seamlessly integrated with network-based audio-visual systems in all types of applications. We’re happy to join the growing list of companies that are embracing Dante.”

The first Shure products to include Dante networking capability are the ULXD4D dual-channel digital wireless receiver and ULXD4Q quad-channel digital wireless receiver. These systems are part of the new ULX-D wireless line that were launched at InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas.

“Shure has been at the forefront of many innovations over the years, and we are proud they have chosen Dante as their digital media networking solution,” says Lee Ellison, Audinate CEO. “We have been working closely with Shure on these exciting new products for quite some time and are thrilled to see these innovative networked products come to market. Shure is known for its superior performance, and we expect that the networked ULXD family of digital wireless receivers will be a game changer.”
