Shure has announced the introduction of MoveMic, a new family of wireless microphone systems offering single- and two-channel lavalier microphones joined by a separate receiver that are designed for applications such as content creation, videography and mobile journalists.

The receiver kit allows for both recording and streaming direct to phone (using lavaliers only), and for compatibility with cameras, computers and third-party mobile apps via the MoveMic receiver. Powered by a USB-C charging case, the lavalier microphones are stated to offer 24 hours of recording per charge (eight hours of battery life, plus an additional two eighthour charges within the charge case).

Custom acoustics and proprietary wireless software are designed to foster broadcast-quality audio. The components are IPX4 rated to withstand rain, spills and splashes.

Lav mic dimensions are 1.81 x 0.87 x 0.59 inches and weight is .29 ounces, while the receiver measures 2.55 x 2.64 x 0.75 inches and weight is 2.86 ounces.
