Sacramento Production Services Deploys Martin Audio Line Arrays For KNCI Country In The Park

Martin Audio lineup also included one S218 and one W8C per side for sidefills, six WT2s for front fill and 12 LE12J stage monitors

Held at the Gibson Ranch National Park, KNCI’s Country in the Park event featured a number of popular young artists in front of over 12,000 enthusiastic fans.

The one day music celebration held yearly by the leading “new country” FM station in Sacramento featured Billy Currington, Joe Nichols, Brett Eldredge, Steve Holy, Love and Theft, The Chris Gardner Band, and Jaron and the Long Road to Love.

Sacramento Production Services (SACPS) provided audio for the show, using 12 Martin Audio W8LC enclosures a side to ensure consistent coverage for the large crowd.

“We were limited by the space and ability to hang more boxes,” explains Steve Palmer of SACPS, “But the W8LCs are so efficient, we never had to push them to get the coverage, volume or sound quality we needed.”

Lab.gruppen PLM20000 amplifiers provided amplification for the loudspeakers, while a Yamaha PM5D console was used at front of house and a 48-channel Yamaha M7 console was supplied for monitor mixing.

In addition to Palmer who was overseeing the production, the Sacramento Production Services crew included Dwayne Wise (front of house), Rick Stansby (monitors) and company manager Keith Wackford acting as system tech.

The Martin Audio lineup also included one S218 and one W8C per side for sidefills, six WT2s for front fill and 12 LE12J stage monitors. Palmer felt the sound throughout the show was “absolutely phenomenal. Our client was very pleased with the results and so were the performers.”
