Pure Resonance Audio has announced the introduction of the new S6.1 and S8.1, two 70-volt surface-mount loudspeakers that offer a streamlined appearance in an IP65-rated package for outdoor and indoor applications that include foreground and background music, paging and general-purpose audio.

The S6.1 incorporates a 6.5-inch graphite woofer and 1-inch silk tweeter and is stated to deliver 80 Hz — 20 kHz frequency response and 86 dB SPL sensitivity, while the larger S8.1 is outfitted with an 8-inch graphite woofer and 1.1-inch silk tweeter and is stated to provide 55 Hz — 20 kHz frequency response and 87 dB SPL sensitivity.

Both also utilize the company’s proprietary Optimal Bass Enhancement radiator technology that’s designed to deliver enhanced low-end performance. They also carry a built-in 70-volt/100-volt tap transformer and an 8-ohm bypass.

The new S6.1 and S8.1 are expected to be available this spring.
