Outline Announces New UK Distribution Agreement With CUK

Outline has named CUK Audio as exclusive U.K. distributor.

Outline s.r.l. is pleased to announce the formation of a new distribution partnership with CUK Audio. Effective immediately, CUK Audio assumes exclusive UK distribution rights for all Outline products.

“2013 is our 40th anniversary year and our business is expanding globally with year-on-year sales up significantly across our product range, which is especially encouraging given the economic situation around the world right now,” says Outline’s Sales Director Chris Hinds.

“Much of this growth is due to the new products we’ve introduced, but they are taken to market by our distribution network, and in this respect we are continually refining and expanding our worldwide partnerships. Bringing CUK on board as our UK partner is part of this on-going process, and we’re fortunate to have found a company of this calibre to represent our products here”.

Concerning Outline’s outgoing UK representative, Hinds said, “Peter Barnard has done sterling work in helping to develop Outline’s presence in the UK, and he has our gratitude and respect. Our move to CUK is a natural development of the brand and its representation here”.

CUK Audio is a leading UK pro-audio distributor that has built a strong portfolio of installation and AV integration brands. While the portfolio has given them a prominent position in the installation market, the more recent additions of Powersoft, CADAC, Cordial cables and Pivitec personal monitoring solutions to its line-up has expanded the company’s live sound offering, and led Managing Director Stuart Thomson to create CUK Live, a new division dedicated to serving – the UK’s live sound and concert rental markets.

“With CUK Live being clearly focussed on the needs of the live market, it became clear that we needed a credible loudspeaker offering for the sector” said Thomson.

“We’d been looking for some time now, but frankly what we found were numerous loudspeaker manufacturers producing similar product lines with little differentiation between them”, said Thomson. “In picking a loudspeaker partner we applied the same ethos as we always have – we wanted a brand with relevant, interesting products, backed up with – innovative technologies providing – effective solutions.

“We can then add the distribution strength and support to those core attributes to deliver something that is genuinely different”.

“We put Outline through the same process and from the first meeting it was apparent that the brand, the people, the technologies and the attitude were a very good fit with our own approach to the business”. Thomson added. “It genuinely offered something different and of course we’ve watched Outline grow internationally in recent years, which tells its own story”.

“The addition of Outline complements a strong brand line-up for the performance audio and touring markets for CUK Live, and consequently we are seeking to add a new member to our team, whose brief will be to deliver the same standards of commitment and quality as we have achieved elsewhere”, concludes Thomson.
