Omega Studios has announced an open house event on on December 3rd from 12-3 PM in Rockville, MD, to experience Omega’s recording facilities and hands-on training for anyone thinking about a future in the audio/music industry.
Take advantage of an opportunity to ask questions about music, technique, technology, careers, the music business, and Omega Studios and it’s School Of Applied Recording Arts & Sciences. Meet and mingle with professionals from the music industry, instructors, students, staff, and alumni.
Events will be conducted by some of Omega’s professional staff of audio engineers, instructors, and professionals from the music world.
Studio A – Live Sound Demo: Live band, lights, front of house board, monitors, mixers
Control Room A – Maximum Mixing: 5.1 surround mix (Neve VR60 console)
Studio B – Recording the Band: Techniques for recording a live 4-piece band (SSL console)
Studio C – Hip Hop Production Session: Artist production and relations (API console)
Studio D – Post Production Overview: SFX, scoring, cueing systems (Icon console)
Studio E – Music editing techniques & publishing
Studio M – Beat Production: Sampling, tempo changes, EFX processing, virtual synths
