NEXT-proaudio has announced the introduction of the LA210x, a new medium-format, three-way, coaxial, active line array designed to support a wide range of medium- to large-scale touring applications and fixed installations.

Outfitted with custom European transducers, the LA210x incorporates dual 10-inch (3-inch voice coil) neodymium woofers and a coaxial ring radiator loaded by a proprietary OSWG waveguide, designed to deliver added phase coherence and consistent coverage down to 300 Hz as well as accurate transient reproduction.

The onboard 96 kHz/40-bit SHARC DSP engine with a built-in LCD screen with a preset loading encoder, can be remotely monitored and controlled through Ethernet via PC. The PC-software automatically identifies each device and allows simultaneous control of multiple devices through grouping facility.

The passively cooled class-D amplifier is stated to deliver up to 2000 watts — 1000 watts for LF, 500 watts for MF and another 500 watts for the HF components. An integrated universal mains power supply with PFC is designed to supply consistency and optimum performance anywhere in the world.

The three-point rigging system allows provides quick setup — elements are connected via two front links. A rear center link allows users to define relative splay angles from 1 to 10 degrees, and the elements will automatically lock to the predefined angles when lifting the array.
