In this recently released video from PSW partner DCSoundOp, Dave Rat (founder of Rat Sound Systems & Sound Tools) teamed up with Powersoft for its “M-Force In Live Audio” discussion at the 2019 NAMM Show in Anaheim. They get into some pretty high-level areas of amplifier, loudspeaker and system design in their brief talk; however, Dave opens his portion with a nice breakdown of how he looks at system design.
Focusing on different subwoofer designs and how each plays into designing a complete system, there’s a lot here. Dave provides six factors he believes are fundamental to designing sound systems and how to balance them in our work.
