Neutrik Americas Releases Three Successors To The NA2-IO-DLINE Dante/Analog Interface

All three new products for connecting legacy gear to Dante share the same form factor, and their thick rubber protection covers can be removed to mount them.

Neutrik Americas has introduced three new line-level DLINE audio interfaces — the NA-2I2O-DLINE, the NA-2I-DLINE, and the NA-2O-DLINE — all designed to connect legacy audio gear to the Dante protocol.

The NA-2I2O-DLINE offers 2 inputs and 2 outputs similar to the prior NA2-IO-DLINE. For environments where both inputs and outputs are not required, the NA-2O-DLINE interface offers 2 outputs only while the NA-2I-DLINE offers 2 inputs only. All three products share the same form factor, and their thick rubber protection covers can be removed to mount the units to tabletops, trusses, or 19-inch equipment racks using optional accessories.

Audio performance is improved in these new-generation DLINE products, with stated 24 dBu maximum levels for both inputs and outputs, >100 dB dynamic range, >108 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and crosstalk of -100 dB@20 kHz for outputs and -110 dB@20 kHz for inputs.  All three interfaces are AES67 compliant.

NEUTRIK’s XLR chassis connectors provide analog inputs and outputs. Input XLRs have NEUTRIK’s new asymmetric, ESD-safe push tab. The etherCON connector, used for Dante connectivity, has a halo light ring for clear status signaling. The etherCON port accepts either standard RJ45 connectors or etherCON cable connectors for secure, locking connections. Powering the devices is via PoE (Power over Ethernet) from either a network switch or a PoE injector (802.3 af/at; class 1).

Fred Morgenstern, Neutrik Americas VP technology, says, “The prior NA2-IO-DLINE was a hit product, and our customers were disappointed when we were forced to discontinue it due to the lack of component availability. These successor products are better in every way. They feature higher performance, and the different configurations enable customers to select the IO variations that best meet their specific requirements.”

“The halo etherCON connector provides attractive network status signaling,” Morgenstern adds, “which is larger and clearer than that provided by the prior simple LEDs. And the new products are more stage-ready with their black, non-reflective, ESD-safe asymmetrical push tabs on the female XLRs, replacing the shiny metal tabs of the prior generation. The rugged DLINE form factor that was such a hit in the prior product is carried over to these new models. Simply put, for those who liked the old NA2-IO-DLINE, I think they will be delighted by these new products. And new users will now have a chance to experience the unique blend of features that these DLINE products offer.”

The NA-2I2O-DLINE, NA-2O-DLINE, and NA-2I-DLINE are available for ordering now.
