METAlliance Announces Robby Sinclair To Record At Next “In Session with The Guys”

"In Session with The Guys" attendees will participate and interact with the METAlliance founders in live recording and mixing sessions with Sinclair.

Former Jazz Ambassador for the U.S. Robby Sinclair and his band Lazer Cake will be tracked and mixed by the METAlliance founders “In Session with The Guys,” February 19-20, 2011 in NYC at Avatar Studios.

The quartet plays short, sexy, indie-pop songs with hints of The Cars, The White Stripes, Talking Heads, and Justin Timberlake.

Space is limited and sessions will be limited to only eight attendees for each phase of the recording projects.

All attendees are entered in a drawing for a free Nuendo 5 Education Edition provided by Steinberg, including the NEK (Nuendo Expansion KIt) which provides all the Cubase Music Tools.

Other valuable products provided by the METAlliance Pro Partners will be used througout the sessions.

“In Session with The Guys” attendees will participate and interact with the METAlliance founders in live recording and mixing sessions with Lazer Cake, as well as sessions with jazz vocal sensation Kat Edmonson, who has been described as “equal parts Billie Holiday and Bjork” in All About Jazz.

As in the inaugural 2010 METAlliance event in Hollywood at Capitol Studios, participants get a close-up look at basic tracking and mic techniques.

In separate mixing sessions they are presented with the detailed procedures in significant detail, plus experience in-depth critical listening workshops.

The METAlliance offers a unique opportunity to experience living history while learning invaluable techniques with the legendary master craftsmen who founded the METAlliance.

Every attendee will participate in four sessions, each designed to provide different experiences in the recording process and led by the founding members. Space is very limited.

Recording:
• Session One: Phil Ramone and Al Schmitt
• Session Two: Elliot Scheiner and Ed Cherney

Mixing:
• Session Three: Chuck Ainlay
• Session Four: “In the Box” home studio mixing with Frank Filipetti and George Massenburg in a home studio environment

More information and registration forms are available on the METAlliance Website.
