Martin Audio Covers Cosmic Meadow Stage For Electric Daisy Carnival

3G Productions selects MLA arrays and MLX subwoofers for three-day EDM festival in Las Vegas.

3G Productions chose Martin Audio MLA for the Cosmic Meadow Stage during the three-day Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas with DJs such as Zedd, Martin Solveig, Paul Van Dyk, Knife Party, Swanky Tunes, Chris Lake, Flux Pavilion and more.

The MLA setup from 3G consisted of 18 MLA cabinets a side for the main hang, 12 MLA per side for the off hangs and 32 MLX subs ground-stacked in front of the stage.

Six Martin Audio DD12’s stacked on top of the subs were used for front fill and four MLA Compact per side were ground-stacked on stage between the main and side hangs to fill in the area between the two. Two delay towers behind front of house had two hangs of eight MLA Compact to complete crowd coverage.

Asked about how MLA performed during the event, 3G front of house engineer/system tech Mike Smeaton said, “Even with the extreme heat and low humidity, the system had no problems generating high SPL with full frequency reproduction for over 11 hours each day with consistent coverage. You can always count on MLA.

“The crowds loved it and we had several guest front of house engineers over the three days who were complimentary about the system. Several commented that the subs were very musical.”
