Marantz Professional announces the introduction of its new MPM-3500R ribbon microphone at InfoComm.
The MPM3500R features a low-mass ribbon pick-up with copper diaphragm, dipole (Figure 8) polar pattern and max SPL of 135dB.
It is specially designed to resolve the extremely subtle details of recording bright, dynamic sound sources (such as brass instruments and percussion) without the sound becoming “brittle” or grating. Ribbon microphones are ideal for such situations.

U.S. retail pricing is $240.00. The MPM-3500R will be available in Q2 2016.
