Associated Beth Rivkah Schools in Crown Heights, Brooklyn has transformed its lunchroom into a multipurpose venue that can host assemblies, guest speakers, stage performances, video presentations, graduation ceremonies and more that are all supported by a new sound reinforcement system utilizing K-array loudspeakers in a project by New York-based integrator Ahron Aronow of Elyon Systems.
Two distinct audio zones within the venue offer a range of options for events. The stage area is equipped with two KP102 loudspeakers discreetly placed on either side, with two KP52s for frontfill and two KS2P I subwoofers situated under the stage.
The wider side of the room, which accommodates larger events, is outfitted with four KK102 loudspeakers mounted on the wall running its length. Four custom-finished KU210 subwoofers are recessed 20 feet in the ceiling, provide a powerful, unobtrusive full range audio solution. Multiple high contrast LED displays and motorized screens offer many options for video content.
The space is pre-provisioned to accommodate a future divisible wall allowing the AV to function independently in each half of the room. Despite the space being full of hard surfaces, audio output is designed to be directional and contained within the sitting area, minimizing the bouncing and echoing of sound while providing added intelligibility.
