The unit fits in the palm of your hand and can go anywhere virtually anywhere.
It creates high-quality recordings on the spot of live performances, band rehearsals, interviews, podcasts, meetings, class lectures, seminars, sound effects, field recordings, and much more.
The HDR7 feature digital recording in MP3s (multiple bit rates) and WAV (up to 24-bit/96kHz); on-board high-quality condenser mics in X/Y configuration; an SD/SDHC slot that will accept up to a 32GB card;
It also includes a Mic Sensitivity switch (L/H); Adjustable record level with VU meter; mic & line input jacks; headphone and line out jack; Auto-Compression/ Limiter/AGC (Auto Gain Control); a USB port to connect the unit to your PC to transfer and edit files; and AA battery or AC operation.
Also notable is the units full color jumbo LCD screen; direct recording to USB Thumb Drive; recording of AIFF and AAC files; on-board conversion of existing files to other formats; an input gain with 3 levels; Auto-Record and Auto-Track Mark functions; mark or file time mode with user adjustable times; date and time settings; noise gate function; and a 5 second pre-record buffer.
The HDR7 comes standard with muptipel accessories, including a Tripod Stand, AC Adaptor, Wind Screen, 4 x AA batteries, Cloth Carrying Case, USB Cable, and SD Card (1 GB), so you can start recording right away.
