Grundorf Announces New Tour 8 Series Snake Racks

Also have a compartment on the utility side of the enclosure to house the snake reel

Grundorf has announced the new Tour 8 Series snake racks, available in 12-, 16-, 18-, and 20-space configurations.

In addition to holding a rack-mountable snake box, these cases also have a compartment on the utility side of the enclosure to house the snake reel.

They also include a pass-through between the rack and utility sections of the case so the feeder cable can remain connected.

For added protection, there is a cable port located at the rear of the enclosure that enables the top lid to remain attached while the system is in use.

Designed and manufactured in the USA, Grundorf’s new Tour 8 Series snake racks are constructed using 3/8-inch multi-layer plywood with a durable high impact resistant ABS laminated finish.

The edges are finished with a double-edged aluminum extrusion and the lid-to-body seal is made with an interlocking aluminum tongue and groove valance system designed to provide a tight, secure fit.

The snake rack incorporates 12-rivet point recessed handles and 10-rivet point recessed catches to provide the strength required for years of rugged, trouble-free use. The handles and catches all use a steel washer backed rivet system for superior durability.

As one would expect with a rugged touring snake rack, the new Tour 8 Series snake racks employ a large, heavy duty dolly outfitted with 4-inch casters and two brakes. To ensure security for the equipment, optional recessed key locks are available.

The Tour 8 Series Snake Racks are available in red, black, blue, and gray.

“The new Tour 8 Series snake racks provide the touring professional with an efficient and extremely robust means of managing the connections between microphones, mixing consoles, processors, and other equipment typically used in sound reinforcement applications,” says Frank Grund, president of Grundorf Corporation. “With the compartment on the utility side to house the snake, the snake ends can be left plugged into the snake box and be pulled out for the length of the run—saving valuable time during setup and break-down.

“Featuring robust construction throughout and large casters with brakes for safe, easy transport to further protect the equipment; the Tour 8 Series Snake Racks offer ease of use and a convenient means of making system connections. We’re also proud of the fact that these systems are completely designed and manufactured here in the States. I’m confident musicians and audio pros will find the Tour 8 Series snake racks a compelling choice for their connectivity requirements.”

Grundorf’s new Tour 8 Series snake racks are available now and include the following MSRP pricing:

• T8-SNR-12C: $1,179.95
• T8-SNR-16C: $1,219.95
• T8-SNR-18C: $1,279.95
• T8-SNR-20C: $1,339.95

Grundorf also manufactures these snake rack cases in carpet finishes as well as the extra-heavy duty Tour 2 Series.
