Exertis | Jam & American Music & Sound Announce Key Executive Changes

AM&S founder and long-time president Lynn Martin filling new role of director of strategic development for Exertis | Jam while Pat Sullivan has been tapped as president of AM&S.

North American pro audio, MI and CE distributor Exertis | Jam has announced that Lynn Martin, founder and president of American Music & Sound (AM&S) for almost 20 years, will fill the new role of director of strategic development for Exertis | Jam while Pat Sullivan, most recently president of InMusic, has been named the new president of AM&S.

“Lynn is an industry legend and a friend, he has done brilliant work developing and leading American Music and Sound,” says Marty Szpiro, president of Exertis North America. “Pat has had a stellar career and is highly respected across the pro audio and MI world. We welcome Pat and look forward to great things under his leadership.”

Stuart Frenkel, president of Exertis | Jam, adds, “We’re all delighted that Lynn will stay with the team and look forward to working with him in his new role. It’s great to have Pat on board bringing his exciting new view and ideas to our mission.”

Exertis | Jam reports sales exceeding $400 million annually, with the company noting that even as growth accelerated through acquisition and diversification, it has realized that each division has its own unique way of doing business. AM&S has demonstrated success from through quality supply chain management, a focus on customer service for dealers and end users, strong sales management along with marketing and aggressive promotion. Today AM&S distributes and supports brands such as Allen & Heath, CAD, Focusrite, Fostex, Glorious, Hercules, Kurzweil, Lewitt, Nord, Novation, PLAYdifferently, Reloop, Studiologic and Xone.

I’m delighted to hand off the stewardship to Pat, we couldn’t have a better person in place for this transition.
