The Kiên Giang Music Theater in Rạch Giá, the capital city of Kiên Giang province in southwestern Vietnam, has been equipped with a new sound system headed by Electro-Voice and Dynacord components to reinforcement both contemporary program material as well as the folk-art form of “cải lương,” a complex artistic genre that blends traditional melodies with various musical instruments.
Integration firm Truong Thinh worked closely with the team at Electro-Voice and Dynacord in formulating a design utilizing two hangs of nine X1 line array loudspeakers and 10 X12-128 dual-18-inch subwoofers driven by Dynacord IPX series power amplifiers. The project also includes multiple ETX and EKX powered loudspeakers serving as fills and stage monitors, and a selection of Electro-Voice wired/wireless microphones.
As well as delivering the coverage and power the theater required from an acoustic angle, the PA’s compact form factor minimizes its visual impact from an aesthetic perspective.
