Earthworks has announced the introduction of the DM6 SeisMic, a new supercardioid condenser microphone designed for kick drums and bass amps in both live and studio applications.
Housed in a stainless steel body with black windscreen, the DM6 measures 4.97 by 1.93 inches. It has stated sensitivity of -60 dBV/Pa (1 mV/Pa) and self-noise (A-weighted) of 20 dBSPL-A, and it requires 48-volt phantom power (6.5 mA).
The DM6 ships with a Triad-Orbit M2-R ball mount for fast and easy placement. It is designed to complement the existing Earthworks drum line, and at this time, will be sold as a separate SKU and will not be part of the company’s DK7 drum mic kit.
