Crest Audio has announced the introduction of the new CPL T Series that includes three models of two-way flush-mounting loudspeakers with backcans offering a low-recessed profile and widely distributed coverage that make them suitable for a range of installed applications. and widely distributed coverage that make them suitable for a range of installed applications.
The CPL 4T is equipped with a 4-inch woofer with stated 40 watts of continuous power handling; the CPL 6T has a 6.5-inch woofer and stated continuous power handling of 50 watts; and the CPL 8T offers an 8-inch woofer and stated continuous power handling of 90 watts. All have a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with titanium membrane that can be aimed towards the listening area.
A five-step tap selectable switch is located at the loudspeaker face and behind the front grille, allowing for convenient adjustment before and after installation for both 70 or 100-volt Hi-Z distributed lines and up to 90 watts selectable, depending on the model. For Lo-Z connectivity, an 8-ohm transformer bypass setting is included.
The units are housed in a steel fire-rated backcan with a 4-pin screw terminal that allows for daisy-chain wiring terminations. Further, the magnetically attached front grille arrives in a white finish but can be painted to suit any interior as needed.
