Bosch Conference Equipment Utilized At UN Climate Change Conference In Copenhagen

The ongoing UN Climate Change Conference (COP15), being held at the 77,000-square-meter Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark through December 18, is the largest UN meeting to date, hosting an estimated 2,500 meetings and attracting more than 100 heads of state from around the globe.

Bosch Security Systems was selected as the supplier of conferencing equipment for the event, including 2,500 delegate microphones mainly DCN Next Generation type.

Also on the docket is DCN Next Generation Simultaneous Interpretation equipment in two large plenary rooms and five other meeting rooms; Integrus receivers to enable delegates to listen to interpretations. In addition, central Bosch equipment consists of 50 Central Control Units, several external power supplies and audio expanders.

In the 1,100-seat Press Center, journalists can monitor the plenary rooms and listen to proceedings by using the Integrus Wireless Infrared Receivers and headphones from Bosch. In a few rooms, CCS 800 Ultro microphone equipment from Bosch has also been installed.

Installation of the Bosch equipment was performed successfully by Teletech Conference Communication A/S, one of the founders of the Congress Rental Network and certified Bosch Security Systems dealer.

The preparation and installation work involved approximately 12 technicians working over a period of 10 days, with 40 technicians and five supervisors handling daily operations. After the event, 12 technicians will take two days to dismantle all of Teletech’s equipment.
